“She just looked happy—like she was genuinely enjoying herself.”

When Carolyn decided to get back into dating, she knew first impressions mattered—but her existing photos didn’t feel like a full reflection of her. They weren’t necessarily “bad.” They simply weren’t showing much of the warmth, confidence, and joy that were part of who she was.

We built her session around the parts of Carolyn’s life that felt most natural to her: time outdoors, her home, everyday moments, and the relaxed energy she wanted someone to experience when viewing her profile. The goal wasn’t to make her look different. It was to create a gallery that felt more complete, current, and genuinely like her.

After Carolyn updated her profile, Kevin noticed her on eHarmony—and one of the things that immediately stood out to him was her smile.

In Kevin’s Words:

Their connection moved from messages to a first date and eventually into a relationship. Carolyn and Kevin are still together today.

From uncertainty about how to represent herself online to photos that reflected her warmth, joy, and real life.

Carolyn’s Dating Story:
Showing Up More Like Herself

REAL CLIENT STORY

Ryan wasn’t sure his old photos were showing the version of him people actually experienced in real life. He wanted to come across as confident, approachable, and genuine — but his profile didn’t quite reflect that yet. It wasn’t about becoming someone else. It was about creating photos that felt more aligned with who he already was.

We built Ryan’s session around variety, personality, and real-life presence. Instead of stiff or overly polished images, we focused on natural expression, strong settings, and photos that gave his profile more clarity, warmth, and range. The goal was to help his profile feel more intentional — and more recognizably him.

After Ryan updated his profile with his new images, the shift was immediate. Within days, he matched with someone who felt like a better fit, and that first date turned into something more meaningful.

That relationship eventually ended, but the larger shift stayed with him: more clarity, more confidence, and photos that continued helping him show up well as he re-entered dating. Today, he’s in a relationship that feels stronger, deeper, and more aligned.

Ryan’s Story: Photos That Felt More Like Him

From uncertainty about how to show his real personality online to a profile that felt more natural, intentional, and true to him.

It feels exciting. Intentional.”

REAL CLIENT STORY

What changed wasn’t just the photos.
It was how clearly Ryan felt represented by them.

Jon is a private pilot, a bourbon lover, and someone who enjoys great food, lakes, and live music. Reserved and introverted by nature, he wanted photos that felt confident, adventurous, and approachable — but still like him.

He wasn’t interested in looking overly posed or performative. He wanted a profile that reflected more of his real personality without feeling staged or overdone.

the starting point

At Jon’s request, his dating photos remain private. The story below shares the impact in his own words.

Jon’s session was built around variety, story, and lifestyle. We created a mix of images that reflected different sides of who he is — polished, relaxed, playful, and personal.

The goal wasn’t to manufacture a new version of Jon. It was to create photos that felt more genuine, more dimensional, and more aligned with how he actually moves through the world.

Within two weeks of updating his profile, Jon began seeing real movement. His inbox picked up, multiple women commented that his profile stood out compared to other men’s, and he started more conversations with women he was genuinely excited about.

He told me he went on several dates and began connecting with accomplished, interesting people — doctors, artists, entrepreneurs, and more. Even when the usual dating-app hiccups happened, the new photos gave him something bigger than short-term momentum: they helped him feel more confident, more visible, and more like himself.

“The ladies are very fond of your photos! Multiple women told me the profile pops relative to other men’s. The process was more healing than I expected—it helped me see myself differently.”

Kerry had been on the dating apps for a while, and the experience had started to feel draining. He was ready to show up more intentionally, but his existing photos felt flat and didn’t say much about his personality.

He wasn’t looking for anything flashy or overly polished. He simply wanted photos that made him look like himself — relaxed, confident, and approachable.

the starting point

From feeling burned out by dating apps to photos that felt natural, personal, and genuinely like him.

We built Kerry’s session around the parts of his life that gave us something real to work with: playing guitar, spending time in comfortable spaces, and letting his personality come through without forcing it.

The goal wasn’t to manufacture confidence or create a version of him specifically for a dating app. It was to give him a gallery with more warmth, personality, and real-life context — while still feeling unmistakably like Kerry.

After Kerry replaced his old profile photos, he noticed more interest and more messages. Just as importantly, he felt more grounded and confident in how he was showing up and starting conversations.

Over time, that confidence extended beyond the apps. Kerry eventually met someone in real life, and they began a relationship that he described as both comfortable and exciting.

Kerry’s Story: Feeling More Like Himself Again

“The photos have been well-received. I’m getting more interest, but more importantly, I feel more like myself again.”

REAL CLIENT STORY

She approached online dating with intention.

Rather than throwing together a profile and hoping for the best, she wanted photographs that showed more than what she looked like. She wanted the person behind the profile to come through — her personality, energy, interests, and the parts of her life that would matter to the right person.

The goal wasn’t to manufacture a different version of her for dating.

It was to help her show up more clearly as herself.

We built her session around warmth, personality, and the details that made her feel like a real person rather than another polished dating profile.

The images were meant to create range — approachable and confident, but also expressive, personal, and full of life.

She later described the difference in a way I love:

“Shannon’s photography reveals a person’s depth and passions.”

That was exactly the goal.

Not simply to make someone stop on a flattering photograph — but to give them a reason to feel curious about the person in it.

Someone did notice.

She later shared that the man she is now happily dating was drawn to her profile, and what began online grew into a relationship that has continued for more than six months.

Her update wasn’t really about match counts or app metrics.
It was about how different life felt on the other side of intentionally putting herself out there.

She told me:

“I am so glad I was intentional in my online dating profile preparation by scheduling a session with you. There is so much JOY in my life!”

And in another update:
“Hiring Shannon for online dating profile photography is the BEST decision!”

No photography session can promise a relationship.

But helping someone show up with more confidence, clarity, and a profile that gives the right person a fuller sense of who they are?

That part we can be intentional about.

REAL CLIENT STORY

I did have multiple matches and went on two dates when I posted new photos and paid to boost my profile for a week two weeks after our session… your photos did make a difference… either way I’m glad I got these photos.

Vlad wasn’t looking for a dramatic reinvention. He wanted to replace older photos with images that represented him better and gave his dating profile a stronger, more current first impression.

Like a lot of busy professionals, he also didn’t have endless time or energy to devote to dating apps. The goal was to create a gallery that could do more of the communicating for him — naturally and without looking staged.

A couple of weeks after our session, Vlad updated his profile with the new photos and also ran a one-week paid profile boost.

During that period, he reported multiple matches and two dates.

Because he was using a boost at the same time, there’s no way to separate exactly how much each change contributed — and that’s important context. What Vlad did know was that the new photos made his profile feel stronger, and he was glad he had made the investment.

All of this happened during an especially busy stretch at work while he was also going through several rounds of interviews for a promotion. Even with plenty competing for his attention, he noticed a meaningful difference in how his dating profile was performing.

We created a mix of polished and relaxed lifestyle images that gave Vlad’s profile more range while still feeling like him.
